Inside this Umbria historic residence you’ll find a total of three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The bedrooms are luxurious and large, all with their own bathrooms. Two of the three have a sitting couch that doubles as an extra twin bed, allowing an additional guest in each room. As a result, this Umbria historic residence can host a total of 8 guests. The bedrooms have frescoed ceilings and walls as well as terrazzo tiled floors. The owners furnished the property with classic 60’s Italian furniture, marble sinks and modern light fixtures.
Additionally the living room occupies a large space with its marble fireplace, modern sofa, credenza and other antiques. Also the library has a selection of books as well as comfortable seating for reading and relaxing. The stone walled kitchen has a rustic feel but simultaneously offers all modern amenities. Moreover, from the kitchen there is direct access to the terrace.
The owners turned the former stables into a marble clad heated pool and Jacuzzi, a kitchenette, indoor and outdoor lounge areas. This provides an inviting space for guests to relax. Another special feature is a fully stocked wine cellar offering wonderful local wines and other selected delicacies of the region. The wine cellar is accessible via a long staircase that takes you under the palazzo below the spa.
Exteriors
The terrace remains one of this Umbria historic residence best assets. It features a restored wrought iron railing, terra cotta floor, lounge chairs, and a dining table that seats eight. A vaulted arch from the kitchen leads to the terrace providing a panoramic view of the Chiana valley. Here you’ll see the quintessential elements of the Tuscan landscape including olive orchards and vineyards, stone farm houses, and fields of grain. This area is a place to relax on a lounge chair or to enjoy a meal while soaking up the sun. You can also watch the sunset over the mountains.
Location
You’ll find this spectacular property in the heart of Monteleone D’Orvieto in the region of Umbria. This is the area of the Chiana valley where the Etruscans once roamed. It is less than two hours from Rome and Florence and less than one hour from Siena and Arezzo. It is within a half an hour from the city of Perugia and it can be reached from Rome or Florence by trains at a few local stations. Guests will relish the peaceful medieval streets of Monteleone and have the convenient opportunity to travel to several charming villages and towns nearby.

For reservations requested more than 60 days prior to the commencement date, a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount will be charged in order to confirm the booking.
The balance of the full amount due in respect of the reservation and any additional charges are to be paid 60 days before the commencement date. SopranoVillas will send you a reminder of the second payment via email a few days before the deadline. Once the second payment has been received, you will receive all the necessary information for check-in.
The Rental Agreement will be considered invalid and the Guest will not be entitled to any refund in case of a final payment delayed of at least 50 days (e.g. paid 7 days prior to arrival).
If the reservation is requested with less than 60 days prior to arrival, the full rental amount is due in order to secure the booking. The booking will only be considered as confirmed after the deposit payment has been received and the Rental Agreement signed by the Guest.
In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest more than 60 days before arrival, the client is entitled to a refund of 20% of the deposit payment. In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest within 59 days or less prior to the arrival, the entire rental fee is non-refundable.
SopranoVillas consider as the date of cancellation to calculate refunds the day of the formal cancellation request (received by email).
