Interiors

This ancient hamlet recently renovated into a luxurious Villa is an enchanting property situated in a renowned historical site in Perugia, Umbria. The superb rough stone castle and the adjacent XI century church dedicated to Santa Maria Maddalena preserved all of its historical charms thanks to the impeccable restoration of the original materials. The timeless terracotta tiles floors, the vaulted ceilings decorated by high-coffered unworked wooden beams and the precious XIII century frescos that occasionally appear on the walls of the Villa, create the most unforgettable Italian experience. However, the mastery of the interior design is the keen combination of classical architectural elements with contemporary standards; characterized by color juxtaposition, wood details, marble finishings, and precious fabrics. Umbria Enchanting Castle develops over three floors, divided in the ground floor, first and second floor, and the church annex. The property can host up to twelve guests in 6 fabulous rooms, with luxurious en-suite marble bathrooms. On the ground floor of the Villa, guests can enjoy with family and friends a common area that develops over the central unit and the church annex. The central unit is composed of a spacious and open living room permeated by natural light and exquisitely refined taste. The strong point of the area is the juxtaposition of minimal elements, such as the sofa and the dining table, with more elaborated details such as the dark brown leather armchairs. This zone also welcomes the dining area seating up to 20 people; wood and leather prevail as the dominant materials. The most noteworthy aspect of these areas is the perspectival game that allows guests to peak in all the surrounding environments through the strategically placed openings. While sitting at the dining table or on the sofa, guest can enjoy direct access to the beautiful frescos of the church. The dining area is also directly visible from the open-space fully equipped kitchen, characterized by original unworked wooden beams, precious marbles, and modern amenities and facilities On the ground, floor guest can also find 2 king-size bedrooms with en-suite marble bathrooms and dreamy translucent glass showers. The first floor, situated up the steel framed wooden staircase, is comprised of 2 king-size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a shared terrace, 1 master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a shared terrace, a lovely sitting room and a technological TV room, with large smart LCD TV with SKY satellite television and sport channels. All rooms enjoy of outside area. On the second floor guest can find the loft king-size bedroom with en-suite white marble bathroom.

Umbria Enchanting Castle also offers the possibility to include the side pool annex. Spread over 3 floors, the annex offers an independent kitchen, living and dining area as well as 4 double bedrooms with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms.

Exteriors

The extraordinary outside area offers 360° views over the beauty of the estate and of the Umbrian valley; this is one of the most remarkable villas in the region, spectacular both indoors and outdoors. Dusk is perhaps the most magical moment of the day. Umbria Enchanting Castle illuminates delicately, becoming a real-life enchanted castle. As the red skyline merges with the ancient bell tower, guests lose cognition of time. The immense L-shaped infinity pool, cascading towards the wonders of the Umbrian valley, draws guest to dip in the perfect temperature of its clear water or relax on the immaculate white off-pool loungers. The exterior also offers guests an outside dining area that seats up to ten people on the light gray wooden armchairs, situated on marvelous balcony towering above the valley.

Perugia Luxury Villa is located in the Murlo Estate, the ultimate countryside retreat in the very center of Umbria. This area enjoys all sorts of privileges, from spectacular natural oasis, lakes, waterfall, fishing lodges, a golf club house, the incredible wineries and vineyards, to the wonderful culinary delicacies and the multitude of historical art towns and cities nearby. Florence and Rome, amongst the most beautiful cities in Italy, are only a 2-hour drive from the property, as well as Siena, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi and Orvieto. The region’s capital city Perugia is just 20 minutes away and offers a wealth of cultural activities that include the opera, the famous Umbria Jazz and Eurochocolate festivals.
