Interiors

Recently renovated, this neat villa features all the modern comforts guests may require, while nonetheless retaining an authentic Tuscan sensibility. Surrounded by an enclosed garden, the property is divided across three floors. On the ground floor, there is an elegant living room, a dining room with French windows that open onto the front garden, a bright and fully-equipped kitchen, and a guest toilet. The villa can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. On the ground floor, guests will find a large bedroom with a double bed (which can be converted into two single beds), a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with a shower. On the first floor, there are 3 double bedrooms and a beautiful room with wonderful views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. All rooms on this floor have double beds which can be converted into singles, as well as en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. One bathroom has also also a tub. The final, romantic, en-suite bedroom is in a converted attic, boasting sweeping views from the highest point of the structure. Please note that all the beds are queen size (180 x 200 cm). The villa has every desired amenity, from Wi-Fi in the indoor and outdoor spaces to air conditioning in all rooms (except bathrooms).

Exteriors

Surrounded by an enclosed garden with an English lawn, the villa stands among quiet rolling hills. The elegant infinity pool (15 x 5 meters) with a walk-in staircase is the ideal place to cool off on a hot summer day. The swimming pool area is equipped with deckchairs and parasols. In front of the villa, guests will find an extremely pleasant outdoor table for a spot of “al fresco” dining. A short distance from the villa, on the estate that surrounds it, there are two tennis courts available for guests to use at no additional fee. Rackets and balls are provided on-site. Next to the tennis courts there is a restaurant providing refreshing drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those wishing to discover the area, bicycles are also at guests’ disposal.

Location

The villa is located in the Tuscan countryside between Florence and Arezzo, within the Valdarno area. Here, the rolling hills are dotted with spectacular steep ridges eroded by rainwater (the so-called “balse”). The most celebrated artists of all time have been fascinated by this landscape, even Leonardo da Vinci selected its forms as backdrops to some of his most famous paintings, including the Mona Lisa. Splendid castles, such as Castello di Sammezzano, and picturesque villages, such as Figline Valdarno, closest to the villa, make this landscape truly enchanting. Not far from the villa lies another world-renowned area: Chianti. An ideal destination for food and wine trips, and visits to local craft shops. The villa is easily accessible from Florence airport, which is less than an hour’s drive away.
