This luxury Tuscany castle for rent lies near the historic village of Bolgheri, overlooking the Tuscan countryside and the sea. High fortified walls surround the Bolgheri Castle, which is one of the most ancient and important castles in Italy. Built in the XI century, it was the castle of Ugolino della Gherardesca, one of the most famous characters of Dante’s Divina Commedia. Bolgheri Castle features, among other things, an outstanding panoramic swimming pool, tennis court, football field, an historic church and a beautiful private beach. Moreover, a staff of 4 people will be at your complete disposal. This luxury Tuscany castle has featured in many international reviews and books. It is thus ideal for a truly exclusive holiday or for an unforgettable private party.

The Bolgheri Castle sits on four levels. The exclusive interiors, completely renewed, are furnished with all comforts. The wide entrance, where you can admire the coat of arms of the castle, leads to the living rooms. The first one is elegant and bright, with original stone walls, wooden ceilings and pieces of contemporary art. A white sofa with armchairs and coffee table is ideal for teatime. Next to this room, there is also the library, featuring art books, an ancient wooden table with book stands, and a comfortable sofa, perfect for reading. In this room you will furthermore find a TV corner. As you descend, you will discover the sumptuous main living room, with a huge fireplace, big sofas, coffee tables and pieces of period furniture. Next to this living room there is furthermore the first indoor dining room, cozy and inviting, characterized by a rectangular marble table with chairs, a glass chandelier and traditional white cupboards. The second dining room is bigger; it overlooks one of the esedra (wide octagonal terraces) of the castle. In the middle of the room, a round table with chairs sits beneath a spectacular glass chandelier from Burano. This room is also ideal for inviting guests and enjoying delicious meals, served by the staff. The kitchen is moreover wide and fully-equipped, perfect for organizing everyday life or big parties. The sleeping area of the castle is superb, featuring 10 double rooms, with double or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Nearly each bedroom has a fireplace. These rooms are usually light colored, provided of frame windows; most of them have canopy beds. Each bedroom has its own personality and style, thanks to the exclusive decorations, such as Oriental panels, frescoes or elegant wallpapers. Most of the bathrooms, usually built in marble, are provided of bath-tube. It is possible to add max 4 sofa beds upon request.

Exteriors

The Bolgheri Castle has breathtaking panoramic terraces, a magnificent garden and 10 hectares of private woods reaching the Tuscan coast. The castle, built on the top of a hill, features several esedra: wide terraces overlooking the countryside or the seaside. On one of these terraces, stands the outdoor dining area, where a gazebo covered with climbing roses protects a wide stone table with chairs; elegant sunbeds enrich this terrace. For parties, this outstanding panoramic space becomes a dreamy setting for your guests. The flowered garden features a panoramic marble swimming pool (22 mt.) with sunbeds, a locker room and a shower. Moreover, next to the swimming pool, a splendid gazebo with white sofas and a dining table is ideal for relaxing after a swim. This luxury Tuscany castle also features private tennis court, football field and a gym. The property also includes an original private church, dating back to XI century, which can accommodate up to 50 people. For weddings the church is decorated with flowers and ribbons. You can reach the sea within a 15 minutes drive. At the sea you will also have a private beach at your disposal. Moreover, this comes sunbeds, a lovely cabin, shower and fridge.

Booking and Payment

We accept wire transfer, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, USD Tether, Ethereum)

For reservations requested more than 60 days prior to the commencement date, a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount will be charged in order to confirm the booking.

The balance of the full amount due in respect of the reservation and any additional charges are to be paid 60 days before the commencement date. SopranoVillas will send you a reminder of the second payment via email a few days before the deadline. Once the second payment has been received, you will receive all the necessary information for check-in.

The Rental Agreement will be considered invalid and the Guest will not be entitled to any refund in case of a final payment delayed of at least 50 days (e.g. paid 7 days prior to arrival).

If the reservation is requested with less than 60 days prior to arrival, the full rental amount is due in order to secure the booking. The booking will only be considered as confirmed after the deposit payment has been received and the Rental Agreement signed by the Guest.

In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest more than 60 days before arrival, the client is entitled to a refund of 20% of the deposit payment. In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest within 59 days or less prior to the arrival, the entire rental fee is non-refundable.

SopranoVillas consider as the date of cancellation to calculate refunds the day of the formal cancellation request (received by email).

The booking procedure and cancellation policy may vary depending on the villa.
