Located in the peaceful countryside near Lucca, Benassai Historical Villa is a Renaissance residence later redesigned in the 18th century by architect Francesco Pini, following ideas from Filippo Juvarra. Once part of the Benassai family estate, the villa has been carefully restored and today offers a timeless mix of history, space, and comfort.

Interiors
The villa spreads over four floors, with the lower three floors connected by a lift.
On the ground floor (semi-interrato), a side entrance leads to a spacious games room with pool table, table tennis, and table football. This level also includes a kitchen and service areas.
The main floor (piano nobile) features an elegant living room, a dining room with kitchenette and lazy waiter, and a TV room with its own bathroom.
The night floor (second floor) offers four bedrooms: one double with en-suite bathroom and antechamber, one twin with en-suite bathroom and antechamber, and two more double rooms, each with private bathroom. All bedrooms on this level are air-conditioned.
Finally, the top floor (mansarda) includes a spacious lounge area with traditional high-ceiling wooden beams, and a separate smaller child-focussed living area with TV and gaming room under a sloping roof (1.5 m high) as well as access to a panoramic terrace. There are also four bedrooms. One twin with bathroom and air conditioning. And three child-focussed bedrooms under a sloping roof (1.5 m high), all serviced by mobile air-conditioning units: one double with en-suite bathroom, and two additional bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with their own bathroom.
Exteriors
Outside, guests can enjoy a peaceful garden surrounded by mature olive trees and greenery. A gazebo with a dining table for twelve and a Weber gas barbecue makes outdoor meals easy and enjoyable. A second gazebo offers a comfortable space for aperitifs or relaxation. The chlorine pool (18 × 6 m) includes umbrellas, sunbeds, poufs, sofas, lounge chairs and a hammock for relaxing in the sun. The villa has two gated entrances and parking for up to six cars, with extra space for approximately 50 additional cars 100 meters away.

Benassai Historical Villa stands on Via di Piletra, just a short drive from the city of Lucca. The setting combines privacy and convenience, offering quick access to Lucca’s medieval walls, restaurants, and cultural attractions while remaining surrounded by nature.

For reservations requested more than 60 days prior to the commencement date, a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount will be charged in order to confirm the booking.
The balance of the full amount due in respect of the reservation and any additional charges are to be paid 60 days before the commencement date. SopranoVillas will send you a reminder of the second payment via email a few days before the deadline. Once the second payment has been received, you will receive all the necessary information for check-in.
The Rental Agreement will be considered invalid and the Guest will not be entitled to any refund in case of a final payment delayed of at least 50 days (e.g. paid 7 days prior to arrival).
If the reservation is requested with less than 60 days prior to arrival, the full rental amount is due in order to secure the booking. The booking will only be considered as confirmed after the deposit payment has been received and the Rental Agreement signed by the Guest.
In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest more than 60 days before arrival, the client is entitled to a refund of 20% of the deposit payment. In case of cancellation of the booking by the Guest within 59 days or less prior to the arrival, the entire rental fee is non-refundable.
SopranoVillas consider as the date of cancellation to calculate refunds the day of the formal cancellation request (received by email).
The booking procedure and cancellation policy may vary depending on the villa.
