“Boasting an unmistakable 1920s architecture, this splendid villa stands ninety meters above Lake Garda. A Modernist jewel that shines on the clear waters of the largest Italian lake”
This Lake Garda luxury villa was designed in the 1920s by the famous architect Giancarlo Maroni, notorious in the cultural panorama of the first post-war period. The interiors retain a taste of refined elegance. Venetian marble floors, Art Deco furnishing and panoramic windows overlooking the lake: everything contributes to creating enveloping atmospheres. The large and bright living room offers a piano for music lovers and an original fireplace to warm up the winter evenings. Next to the living room, the billiard room is dedicated to game enthusiasts. From the dining room guests have access to an incredible panoramic terrace. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, but retains a taste of old school elegance.
The villa can accommodate 10 people, in 4 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom. On request, two single beds can be added in two of the double bedrooms. Each room has a TV, air conditioning and its own particular style. Parquet floors, marble bathrooms and original 1920s elements enrich the sleeping area.
The property features TVs with programming in English, German, French and Russian.
Set on the hills of Lake Garda, surrounded by 10 hectares of olive groves, the villa enjoys a unique position.
The lawn in front of the villa seems to merge with the waters of the lake. Guests can enjoy the splendid panoramic infinity pool (13×5 mt, max depth 1,5 mt) with gray stone solarium, in a strictly modernist style. By the pool, guests will find a wood-burning barbecue. On request, the pool can be heated.
In addition to the pool, guests have at their disposal a jacuzzi and a gym, both featuring jaw dropping views on Lake Garda.
The property is located on the western shore of Lake Garda, in Lombardy, near the charming village of Toscolano Maderno. The typical harbor of Maderno offers shops, restaurants, boat rentals and a characteristic atmosphere. The nearest beaches are within 2 to 2.5 km from the villa.
The famous “Vittoriale degli Italiani”, home of the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, a few kilometres from the property, is worth a visit. The monumental building designed by the same architect who designed the Lake Garda Modernist Villa hosts events and concerts.
Other sights to visit are the garden town of Gardone Riviera, the villages of Salò and Limone sul Garda, and the bustling village of Desenzano. Don’t miss the cities of Brescia and the romantic Verona.
Not far from the villa are the most prestigious Golf Clubs on Lake Garda (Garda Golf, Chervò, Arzaga e Bogliaco) as well as several Michelin-starred restaurants.
