Location

The stylish Marittima Terrace Villa lies in Salento, Puglia. This is the easternmost region of Italy. A stunning area that borders both the Adriatic and the Ionian seas, Salento is famous for its white sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters. However, it also has a unique and ancient culture. For example, dreamy baroque cathedrals are juxtaposed with Roman amphitheaters in pretty towns. One of the most well-known traditions of the region is the exhilarating dance known as the pizzica. The Marittima terrace villa stands in the lovely fishing village of Marittima. It is moreover a short distance from the most beautiful stretch of coastline that Salento has to offer. Along this breathtaking coast there are plenty of half-moon bays curved around sparkling blue sea, fascinating grottoes and soft white sand beaches just waiting to be discovered.

Exteriors

The Marittima Terrace Villa was once the village mill. You can still see architectural evidence of the original function of the property today, in its high vaulted ceilings and large arched windows. In front of the house there is a charming courtyard. It is a great place to relax under the shade of the trees, with a large dining table that can seat up to 8 people. Guests will also find a private swimming pool here.

Interiors

The owners have newly renovated the light, airy interiors. The decor blends traditional features of the region with a timeless, elegant style. The house has two floors. The ground floor is spacious and open-plan. Here you will find the living room which has an antique stone fireplace. The dining room and the kitchen are also on this floor. The bright master bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and a bathroom. On the first floor there is a second living room and three double bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed, fireplace and en suite bathroom. The second has twin beds and the third is a slightly smaller room with bunk beds. These last two bedrooms also share a bathroom.
