“Enveloped in a timeless atmosphere, this historical palazzo stands in the town of Castrignano del Capo, in the deep south of Salento, a stone’s throw from Santa Maria di Leuca and the Maldives of Salento beaches”
This Apulian Historic Palazzo is located in the heart of Castrignano del Capo, an enchanting town in the south of Puglia. A large gate and an ornate door lead to the charming interiors of the property. At the entrance, guests will find themselves on the large patio. As is typical in the Apulian buildings, all the rooms of the house overlook this cool and well-ventilated area.
The interiors boasts arched, double-height ceilings, light stone walls and amazing floors decorated with floral and geometric patterns. The large veranda living room, with its different sitting areas, offers airy spaces to relax. A scenic a liberté style French door leads to the garden. Close to the living, you will find the colourful dining room. Next to the dining room is the traditional kitchen with majolica, breakfast table and French windows opening onto the courtyard.

The second large room has a king size bed, TV, en-suite bathroom and direct access to the garden. The third large room has single beds, TV, en-suite bathroom and access to the courtyard. The forth room has a single bed and shares a bathroom with the last adjacent room, featuring two single beds. There is an extra bathroom in the garden for guests who are in the pool.
Through a room where ancient agricultural tools of the Apulian tradition are displayed, guest reache the secondary access to the garden and the direct access to the laundry.
The rich Mediterranean garden of the property is its main feature. Ancient trees, tree-lined pathways and flowers of all kinds adorn this secluded haven. Between the house and the pool there is the spacious dining table, ideal for dinners with family or friends.
The swimming pool of this Apulian Historic Palazzo is very characteristic. Surrounded by trees and greenery, it is equipped with loungers and parasols. On one side of the pool is a ravishing historical ‘coffee house’, in the shade of which guests will find a pleasant table with chairs.
The villa has a secondary entrance with an automatic gate located behind the pool; here you can park up to 8 cars.
The accommodation is perfectly located in the Apulian hamlet of Castrignano del Capo, in the Salento area. Just a 6-minute drive from Santa Maria di Leuca and its amazing beaches, known as the Maldives of Salento for their beauty. In the small town of Castrignano you will find shops, restaurant and markets, in a quieter atmosphere than that found in Santa Maria di Leuca in the summer months. Santa Maria di Leuca has much to offer. The town stands on the southernmost tip of the Salento peninsula, where the Adriatic merges with the Ionian Sea. With its lighthouse and churches, typical narrow streets and glimpses of the sea, Leuca has fascinated travellers for centuries.
Around Castrignano and Leuca, you will discover a land of Mediterranean scrub, pine forests and olive groves, bathed by the marvellous Salento sea. Do not miss a day on one of the idyllic beaches of the area – including Felloniche, Posto Vecchio, Torre Vado and Pescoluse – famous all over the world.
