Interiors

Upon entering this Filicudi villa guests will first find a pretty kitchen decorated in a unique style. It provides a gas stove, oven, fridge/freezer as well as a small dishwasher. Next to the kitchen guests will find the spacious living room. This has antique day-beds and an open fireplace. The owner, who is a passionate traveler and interior designer, has moreover carefully chosen all the furnishings in this villa.

In the master bedroom guests will find a king-size bed. It also has elegant night tables and storage. All the rooms feature wooden ceilings and stone floors, echoing the natural resources of the island. The bathroom is an unusual and charming space. The owner has renovated it and the shower is set in an ancient oven tiled in volcanic stone. There is a further guest room separate from the house. It has a white king-size bed, tables and wardrobes. This room has also en suite bathroom. Cleaning service is included, twice per week, 2 hours per day. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi connection throughout.

Exteriors

The villa has a pretty secret garden hidden among cacti and volcanic stones, surrounded by thick walls to provide plenty of privacy. In front of the rooms you will find a terrace shaded with a roof of bamboo canes. Guests can either relax in hammocks or on sun-beds, and a wooden table with chairs provides space to eat. The property has a further terrace above the guest room with benches, pillows and small table. We recommend enjoying a sunset drink from this hidden corner. Finally the most stunning feature of this villa is the sun terrace, with gorgeous views of the sea and Capo Graziano, the promontory of Filicudi, and plenty of space to sunbathe.

Location

This stylish and ethnic Filicudi villa for rent is situated in the “Contrada Canale“, on the south side of the island of Filicudi. The villa can be reached via a footpath or by motorbike (cars must be parked 7 minutes walk from the house). The pebble beach of Pecorini a Mare is 20 minutes walk from the house, 3 by scooter. Here you will find the best fish restaurants of the island, as La Sirena, and the legendary bar Triolo, the place to be for an aperitif at sunset. In the village of Pecorini you will also find shops, markets and boat/scooter rentals. The major village of the island, Filicudi Porto, is 10 minutes by car or scooter from the house.
