“In a paradise off the beaten path, a few steps from the sea, a house that gives an authentic experience of Sicily, dedicated to those who want to radically disconnect”
The island of Alicudi, the smallest of the Aeolian Islands, is not for everyone, but lovers of slow living will fall in love with it. Alicudi is a tiny island with a lovely little port, one bar and a small market. There are no cars, ATMs, butchers, nor public lighting. Donkeys are used to reach the houses from the port, and to taste the delicious local cuisine you have to sit at a social table. The houses have no address, to find them you have to count the number of steps that divide them from the sea. The main beaches of Alicudi are next to the port, where you can also rent a boat to visit the coast or the other islands of the archipelago. If you wake up early in the morning it is also possible to go fishing with Silvio, the historical fisherman of the island.
The house is located in the Tonna district, a quiet hamlet of houses not far from the sea, 360 steps from the port.
This typical house of the Aeolian Islands, built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, has been recently renovated respecting the local style. The house is simple but equipped with all comforts. The kitchen is spacious, with a table for breakfast. The sleeping area consists of 3 bedrooms, two doubles and one single. The Wi-Fi system is functional but basic.
The house boasts a magnificent panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. Here you will find several places to enjoy the beauty of the island: the hammock, the outdoor dining table and the sun beds.
