Location

In the 16th century the area began to prosper thanks to the its copper and silver mines, Kitzbühel — nicknamed “Kitz”— later it became one of the most  fashionable resort, attracting an international clientele drawn by its excellent skiing and winter sports events, along with its many ski schools and snowboarding parks. During summer, the area offers several activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing and golf.

When you are not skiing, the old town center of (Innenstadt) is definitely worth exploring. Built on a long ridge of hills, it consists of two streets, the Vorderstadt and the Hinterstadt, each lined with handsome old gabled houses, many of them built in the attractive traditional architectural style typical of the Lower Inn valley.
