Canale House | Filicudi, Sicily

This ethnic and stylish villa, is situated in the “Contrada Canale” in Filicudi. The panoramic view can be seen from a small hidden garden among cactus and volcanic stones. It looks like a Moroccan “Kasbah” as it is surrounded by thick walls that give a wonderful privacy. Great patio and terrace give movement to the structure making it an unique resort.

Interiors

The first room is fantastic kitchen made with wood, cement, natural stones. It has a strong country touch thanks to the warm colors and materials. it is well equipped with gas stove, oven, fridge and freezer. Wine lover will be delighted by the magnificent wine collection.

Next to the kitchen is the spacious living room with ethnic day-beds with fantastic fireplace. The fabrics come from India and they reflect the house colors. Everything that is in this villa has been carefully chosen, by the owner who is a passionate traveler and architecture designer.

The master bedroom offers a wide king size bed with elegant night tables, wooden benches and at the corner a original”cucina economica”.

All the rooms features lovely wooden ceilings and simple cement floors. The bathroom has been made in the room that once was a kitchen. In particular the shower has been made inside the oven.Volcanic stones are there to keep an original atmosphere.

Separated from the house is the guest room with white king size bed, tables, wardrobes. This room has also ensuite bathroom.

Exteriors

The Patio in front of the rooms has a roof made by bamboo canes, hammocks, sun-beds from Afghanistan, wooden table with chairs. there is a corner over the roof of the guest room with benches pillows and low table, ideal for a drink.

We recommend to enjoy the sun set from the hidden corner surrounded by cactus and stones. It is very comfortable and cozy as there are plenty of pillows.
