“In a completely wild Mediterranean landscape, dramatically nestled on top of 100 meter high mesmerising cliffs, but within earshot of the waves crashing on the rocks below, La Maddalena has a stunning view overdeep blue sea punctuated by the islands of Giannutri and Giglio”.

This Tuscany seaside villa is heavenly located on a country farm that covers about 10 ha and borders to the sea in Monte Argentario. The villa has not another building in sight, except for a  striking ancient watch tower at the edge of the property. Bask in your own sparkling pool and private outdoor space, be adventurous and scramble downhill for 15 minutes to a private pebble beach and clear waters. In 2016 the villa has been mentioned by The Times among the top 50 secret villas in the Med!

This Tuscany seaside villa is composed by a main stone cottage with one separate stone depandance, scattered in the garden, forming a single compound. The inside is simple, cosy and well-equipped with terracotta floor tiles and mosquito nets over beds. Beautifully restored, the main villa sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. Here is a large living room with fireplace and a well-equipped open kitchen. The sea view all around from the vast living room of the main house, surrounded by windows on three sides, will give you the impression of sailing. In the main house there is one double bedroom with fireplace and one bathroom with shower and bathtub, and there is also a second bedroom. A few steps from the swimming pool, you will find the first stone cottage with a spacious double room, one single and another queen size and one bathroom with shower, that can accommodate 5 people.

Outside you will find a vine-shaded terrace with large corner sofa, dining table and barbeque will host your quiet evenings. Few steps down there is a small private and secluded pool, surrounded by a wooden deck. This Tuscany seaside villa have a direct access to their private beach. The path to the sea is very steep and breath-taking in the steepest points, steps carved into the rock with sea wood railings. This is something very special and very beautiful but only suitable for sports and adventurous people. If you have good legs and a strong heart you come down or go up in 10/15 minutes.

Where else would you find a mountain surrounded by ocean attached to the mainland by a strip of land, and a magical view of two islands. Monte Argentario is the most spectacular piece of coastline along the Tyrrhenian Sea. Escaping the tourist crowds of Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, It’s a huge adventure to get here: the road twists and turns through hills strewn with brush, broom, cypress and pine to a steep rugged track and a breathtaking arrival, you’re high above the crashing waves in a wild landscape with stunning sea views. This Tuscany seaside villa is 7 km (15 minutes) from the fishing village of Porto Santo Stefano, with its beautiful fish market. The nearest supermarket is on the way to the port, one Km before reaching the village. One of the best restaurants, La Fontanina,  is on the road to the village, 3 km before reaching it (5 minutes). The Feniglia Beach, which is an amazing long fine sandy beach in a natural park on the sea, on working days is not crowded. The beach is halfway between the village of Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, about 10 km (15 minutes) from Porto Santo Stefano. Here you can rent bicycles and run the pine forest that separates the lagoon of Orbetello from the sea, this way you will arrive in the wildest part of the beach, flocks of flamingos can be seen in the lagoon. If you prefer sun umbrellas and sunbeds, the two edges of the beach are equipped for this, you can also rent small sailboats or simply relax and enjoy the best spaghetti with local clams at the best beach restaurant “Braccio”. From the house you can also reach, (10 minutes drive) the small pebbles beach of Le Cannelle, which is just behind the Isola Rossa. In Porto Santo Stefano small motor boats can be rented in order to explore the rugged coastline of the island where there are many small beaches. Our is the most beautiful! The ancient fishing village of Porto Ercole is a picturesque and charming sea village. If you rent an  allround car you can reach  Porto Ercole along a panoramic  white country in 20/30 minutes. Daily trips to the medieval towns of Tuscania, Capalbio, Magliano, Pitigliano are advisable. By ferry you can reach the Island of Giglio, in 50 min. and dive in the crystal clear waters, and come back home in the evening. You can also organise a daily trip to the most beautiful cities of Tuscany, Siena, Florence, Pisa, and come back home in the evening. But normally our guests never move from home because here they find everything they need.
