“A beautiful nest ideal for family and friends standing at the border of Tuscany and Umbria. Discover this two hundred-year-old country house, facing the sun and boasting ravishing views of the Val Tiberina”
Surrounded by hills and atmospheric woods, this newly renovated Tuscany Country House retains a warm, traditional atmosphere, thanks to its typical Tuscan architecture. Stone walls, cotto floors, wooden beams and a rustic-chic style make the interiors very inviting. On the spacious ground floor of the villa, there is the large living area with sitting spaces, a beautiful fireplace and French windows opening onto the garden. Close to the dining area, there is the fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for food lovers. A stairway leads to the first and second floors, where guests will find the sleeping area.
This Tuscany Country House accommodate 12 people in 6 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom. Four rooms have a double bed and two rooms have twin beds. Each bedroom is decorated with a careful eye to give it its own character, and all have charming framed windows overlooking the countryside. In the sleeping area, between the rooms, guests will also find a small lounge and kitchen.
The villa offers total privacy as it is surrounded by closed-in grounds. The manicured garden of the property opens like a clearing in the woods. The villa has many outdoor spots to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sun. In front of the living room, a porch repairs the outdoor lounge. Centuries-old trees shelter the dining table, which seats up to 12 people.
The swimming pool (14×7 m, minimum depth 1,5 m, maximum 2,5 m) is completely fenced-off. It is built in a panoramic position and is equipped with parasols, sun loungers, an external shower and a changing room.
The garden is fenced and small pets are welcome. Six unsheltered parking spaces are available to guests.
The villa stands at the border of Tuscany and Umbria, in the fascinating Val Tiberina, the valley crossed by the Tiber river. Art, culture, food and wine are at home here. This area of Italy is off the beaten track yet extremely beautiful.
The closest town to the villa is the medieval hamlet of Monterchi (6km away). Here guests will find shops of all kinds and delicious restaurants. Do not miss a visit to the small museum dedicated to the Virgin Mary, where you can find the stunning fresco painting the “Madonna del Parto” by Piero della Francesca.
Driving for 30 minutes, guests can reach the town of Sansepolcro, the main town in the Val Tiberina area at the foot of the Apennines, the fortress town of Anghiari or the spectacular art city of Arezzo.
Other spots worthing a visit are the town of Cortona (48km from the villa), the Umbrian capital of Perugia (55km away), and of course Siena and Florence, both within easy reach.
