“There’s a sense of wonder as you admire the view from this ancient farmhouse, standing on a hill which overlooks the ravishing Todi valley. Where tradition meets modernity, this outstanding property exudes a highly refined taste”
Interiors
A sophisticated mix of state-of-the-art facilities and old Italian traditions. Pieces of contemporary art combine with typical elements of Umbrian architecture, such as stone walls and exposed wooden beams. Elegance and luxury permeate this property’s spaces, perfectly finished off by the large windows, which allow guests to enjoy the breathtaking 360° view of the garden.
Recently renovated, this farmhouse dating back to 1800 is on two levels. On the ground floor, guests will find the entrance hall, the spacious living room with fireplace and a dining table seating up to 12 people. There is also the TV room, the billiard room and the veranda. Moving on, guests will find the ultramodern kitchen, boasting a charming veranda with a breakfast table which presides over the surrounding valley. On the same floor there is a separate toilet and a staff room with en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washing machine, dryer and ironing equipment.
The first floor of the Todi Panoramic Villa is reachable through an internal staircase, but also from outside. The sleeping area is arranged along a corridor and consists of four double rooms and one triple room. Each room has its own style. The master bedroom is white and features a scenic blue en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub. The second room has a double bed and is decorated with oriental motifs. Nearby there is a bathroom with shower. The third and fourth double rooms both have en-suite bathrooms, and the last room has three single beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower.
On the same floor guests can enjoy a delightful wooden living area with library, fireplace and TV. Close to it is also a fitness area.
Exteriors
A long dirt road bordered by centuries-old pine trees leads to the villa. Surrounded by a hectare of completely fenced land, the property boasts a jaw-dropping 360° over the Umbrian countryside. The exterior is full of places to relax: in front of the living room is a pleasant patio furnished with outdoor dining table and lounge. From here, via a stone staircase, guests can access the garden and the heated pool, characterized by its natural architectural shape. It is a pleasure to relax in the conservatory and enjoy the view of this slice of Italian paradise while listening to music, thanks to the modern sound system in the villa. Two hot showers complete the pool area.
From the pool the land slopes down towards the area with the sports field (tennis court or soccer field), where guests will also find a wrought iron gazebo ideal for an aperitif before dinner. In front of the villa there is also a tennis table.
Location
The villa is located a few kilometers from Todi, in the heart of Umbria. This quaint medieval town is surrounded by fortified walls and stands in a dominant position, offering splendid views over the valley. Here guests will find shops, markets and delicious restaurants. Do not miss a visit to the magnificent Church of Santa Maria della Consolazione, possibly built by Bramante and considered one of the most beautiful temples of the Italian Renaissance.
Around Todi there are plenty of enchanting art towns, such as Spoleto and Assisi, the town of St. Francis, both about an hour driving from the property. The charming city of Perugia, the provincial capital, is 40 minutes away. Nature lovers can also enjoy a visit to the famous Marmore Falls (40 minutes away), and to the River Tiber Valley Natural Park (half an hour from the villa).
