“Sitting on the Dordogne hills, this beautiful countryside property is composed by a main house plus a lovely cottage that, together, accommodate up to 12 guests in a delicate mixture of modern and earthy interiors”
Elegantly furnished, this 2-story seemingly rustic property holds a modern and functional interior that is sure to please all guests. On the ground floor of this Dordogne accommodation lies the spacious living room with it’s beautiful open fireplace, the dining room as well as a stylish fully equipped kitchen and an independent bathroom. Also on this floor, guests will find one double/twin bedroom (2x90m or 1x180m) complete with it’s own dressing room and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, shower and double sinks.
From the living room, the mezzanine walkway leads guests up to the bedroom area. Here lies another double/twin bedroom (2x90m or 1x180m) – again with it’s own dressing room and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, shower and double sinks – and two more bedrooms, one double bedroom (1x160m) and one double/twin (2x90m or 1x180m) with a shared bathroom, also containing a bathtub and shower. On this floor there is also an extra washroom.
Harmonically combined with the cement floors, the white stone walls and exposed wooden beams make sure to maintain a contemporary yet country-like environment throughout the house. Priming on earthy materials and natural fibers, the decor is very sleek and contemporary, with the clean design being present in all rooms.
Another 2 double/twin bedrooms (2x90m or 1x180m) with ensuite bathrooms can be found in the property’s annex, now on each floor. With it’s own separate entrance, this structure’s patio doors lead out into the pool and garden area.
With hectares of delicately cared gardens surrounding this Dordogne accommodation, the outside space counts with a sizable heated swimming pool and beautiful views of the French countryside.
A bucolic stream flows right behind the house, engulfing it in a one-of-a-kind fairytale atmosphere.
At short 10 minute drive from the village of Belvès, a delightful, typically French village, the property lies in the Dordogne region, famously known for its history and cuisine. It counts, after Paris, with the highest number of monuments in the country. Sites such as the prehistoric caves of the Vézère, the village Sarlat, the Dordogne valley – famous for the picturesque landscapes of Castelnaud and Limeuil- and the medieval castles of Beynac and Castelnaud are incredible one-day trip suggestions. The region, also known as the land of the 1001 Castles, holds more than 45 castles open to the public, be they medieval, Renaissance or classic.
Go visit the water mills of the Val de Dronne and let yourself be guided in the protected area of the Périgord Limousin Regional Nature Park. For wine lovers there is the Wine Route of Bergerac and the bastides of Domme and Monpazier del Périgord. Renowned for its gastronomy, it is hard not to be tempted by the refined dishes, Périgord truffles, walnuts and the Bergerac wines (eg Pécharmant and Monbazillac).
For hikers and nature lovers the Dordogne-Périgord is a perfect region, has the opportunity to go walking, horse riding and cycling, or canoeing along the rivers. For families there are special activities such as the “Via Ferrata dei Rapaci”, in the gardens of Marqueyssac in Vézac.
While a discreet French breakfast is delivered daily to this beautiful Dordogne accommodation, additional meals and services can be also be requested. Daily cleaning included in the price.
